How to Take Your Measurements
Ready to find your perfect fit? Let’s get measuring! Grab a tape measure and let’s determine the circumference of your body at these key points:
- **Bust**: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, right under your arms and across your back. Make sure it’s flat against your body and parallel to the ground for the most accurate measurement!
- **Waist**: Time to find your natural waistline! This is the smallest part between your rib cage and belly button. Keep the tape snug but not too tight. A fun tip: bend side to side to discover where your body creases!
- **Hips**: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, usually about 8–9 inches below your waist. Remember, this can vary from person to person, so find what works for you!
Now that you have your measurements, compare them to a size chart to discover your ideal clothing size! Don’t forget, you can also take a seated hip measurement by holding the tape in place after standing and gently sitting down—your hips might just surprise you by increasing by 1–2 inches or more! Check out the image below for extra guidance. Happy measuring!
